= Confirmed 8 elections for heads of local governments, 17 elections for Si/Do councilors and 33 elections for Gu/Si/Gun councilors =

The National Election Commission (NEC) of the Republic of Korea confirmed re and by-elections in 58 constituencies that will be held together with the 21st National Assembly elections on April 15.

By type of election there will be 8 elections for heads of local governments, 17 elections for Si/Do councilors and 33 elections for Gu/Si/Gun councilors. 

The re and by-elections will be held in areas where the reason for holding the election, such as the election of a candidate being invalidated or a resignation, was confirmed between March 5, 2019 and March 16, 2020.

The election schedule will be held simultaneously with the 21st National Assembly elections. Candidate registrations can be made from 9am to 6pm on March 26 and 27, and the full campaign period will begin on April 2.

The early voting and election day polling hours will be from 6am to 6pm.
