The National Election Commission (NEC) of the Republic of Korea successfully hosted the International Election Observation Program (IEOP) for the 22nd National Assembly Elections from April 4 to April 12, with the participation of 54 international election observers from 19 election management bodies (EMBs) and four international organizations around the world.

As it was the first offline IEOP in six years, the NEC of the Republic of Korea has made efforts to provide participants with valuable time to observe the early voting and voting and counting procedures, study the roles and functions of each institution through visits to the NEC of the Republic of Korea, Korean Civic Education Institute for Democracy (KOCEI), and the Constitutional Court, and explore ways for the development of democracy by attending the Seoul International Forum on Elections (SIFE).
