The NEC Publishes Party Constitutions of Parties Recommending Candidates for Proportional Representation National Assembly Member Elections

= If a party is formed after March 16 then it should submit required documents without delay, if not submitted by candidate registration then it will not be possible for the NEC to accept candidates =

 

The National Election Commission (NEC) of the Republic of Korea said it will disclose on its website the party constitution submitted by a political party that will recommend proportional representation member candidates for the 21st National Assembly elections.

 

Under the Public Official Election Act, a party that recommends proportional representation member candidates for the 21st National Assembly elections must submit the party constitution, party regulations and other internal regulations that set out the details of the candidate recommendation process to the NEC by  March 16 (10 days before the start of candidate registration).

 

In addition, the party that will be established after March 16 should submit its constitution and other requirements without delay after the party’s formation, and the NEC said it cannot accept the candidate registration applications for proportional representation seats of parties that did not submit them until the candidate registration.
