= Former Chief Planning and Coordination Officer Kim Sehwan appointed Deputy Secretary General =

The National Election Commission of the Republic of Korea (NEC) announced that former Deputy Secretary General Bak Yeong-soo has been appointed as the new Secretary General as of October 1, 2018. 

Secretary General Bak Yeong-soo has held a number of senior positions including Director of the Legal Affairs Division, Director General of the Legal Affairs Department, Inspector General, Chief Planning and Coordination Officer and Deputy Secretary General. 

In addition, former Chief Planning and Coordination Officer Kim Sehwan has been appointed as Deputy Secretary General. 

Deputy Secretary General Kim Sehwan has held a number of senior positions including  Director of Administration of the National Assembly Boundary Delimitation Commission, Inspector General, Chief Election Policy Officer and Chief Planning and Coordination Officer.

The NEC held an inauguration ceremony at the National Election Commission Gwacheon Office at 10:30am on October 2, 2018.
