The delegation of Nepal visited NEC

The delegation of Nepal visited the National Election Commission (NEC) to promote a better understanding about political, economic and social development of Korea on July 9.

Through the official meeting with Mr. Kim Yong-hi, the Deputy Secretary General of NEC, they discussed the electoral system of Korea such as the gender quota system of proportional representatives and exchanged opinions on improving electoral systems of Nepal before the election for the parliament of Nepal held on November this year.

NEC has maintained a friendly relationship with the Election Commission of the Kindom of Nepal since 2009 signing on MoU. In addition, as members of Association of Asian Election Authorities (AAEA), they both agreed on improving international cooperation each other.
