The National Election Commission hosts a seminar for supporting the improvement of the electoral and legal systems for electoral officials from Burkina Faso and Cameroon from July 24 to August 1.

The NEC is aiming to introduce the advanced election system and the election management techniques of Korea and present/discuss suggestions for legal reforms that have come up through a thorough study throughout the seminar program to support the electoral and legal systems of the participating countries.

In addition, the participants observed early voting on July 26 and visited a polling station and a counting center on election day to observe how the repeat elections and by-elections were conducted.

The NEC has annually invited electoral officials from emerging democracies to seminars for supporting the improvement of the electoral and legal systems, starting with the seminar for Nepal in 2010. The NEC has also been acclaimed for its contribution to the development of democracy and election system in the participating countries by introducing the election system of Korea and presenting suggestions for electoral and legal reforms that suit the circumstances of the participating countries.
