Hon. Lee In-Bok, the Chairperson of the National Election Commission released a statement to the nation to seek voters’ participation on June 3, the day before 2014 local elections.

The chairperson said in his statement that the development of local communities for the next 4 years and the future of our families would depend on a choice each voter makes while asking voters to cast a vote after thoroughly reviewing and comparing policies and pledges of each political party and candidate.

In addition, the chairperson asked political parties and candidates to cooperate for the development of local communities by fairly competing and humbly taking the election result as the will of local residents and expressed his hope that the upcoming local elections would be ones that bring harmony to all, regardless of winning or losing the elections.
