Ki Sun LEE becomes Secretary General of the NEC

The National Election Commission held a meeting on 8 December 2008 and appointed Ki Sun LEE
as a successor of former Secretary General Young Sik CHO. The inaugural ceremony was held
in the National Election Commission in Gwacheon.


New Secretary General Ki Sun LEE(Ministerial Level) has consecutively filled various important
posts for 32 years such as Chief of Election Bureau, Chief of General Services Division,
President of Electoral Training Institute, Officer of Public Relations and Chief of Legislation Affairs Office.
He started taking the Deputy Secretary General post on November 2006.


As a successor of Deputy Secretary General(Vice Ministerial Level), Chief of Legislation Affairs Division
Jong Woo LEE has been promoted.


New Deputy Secretary General Jong Woo LEE has continuously taken various posts such as Chief
of General Services Division, Officer of Planning and Management, Secretary General of the National
Election Commission of Gyeonggi-do, Chief of Planning & Coordination Office.
