Mr. Moon Sang-Boo Is Appointed As Secretary General |

The National Election Commission held a commissioners'' meeting on November 19th and appointed Mr. Moon Sang-Boo as Secretary General in succession to Mr. Lee Jong-Woo (outgoing Secretary General).
Mr. Moon has served as Deputy Secretary General since December in 2010, after serving as Director of Audit & Inspection; Director of Election; Director General of Prevention & Enforcement; Director General of Election; and Chief of Planning & Coordination Office.
Meanwhile, the NEC promoted Mr. Kim Yong-Hi (current Chief Election Officer) to Deputy Secretary General in succession to Mr. Moon. However, his term as Deputy Secretary General will begin from December 21st after the Presidential election (December 19th).
Mr. Kim served as Director of Prevention & Enforcement Division; Director-General of E-Voting Promotion Team; Director-General of Secretariat of Jeollabuk-Do Election Commission; Director-General of Political Party Bureau; and Chief Election Officer.
