NEC delegation consisting of three NEC staffs visited Sri Lanka from January 19, 2010 to January 29, 2010 to take
part in election observation program.

As a member of Association of Asian Election Authorities (AAEA), NEC dispatched a delegation for observing
the sixth presidential election of Sri Lanka. They observed the procedure of taking and counting votes at electoral
districts and had a Q-and A session with Sri Lankan election staffs to give them a chance to learn developed
election management skills. As a part of election observation program, the delegation visited Sri Lankan
Department of Elections and had meeting with the Commissioner.
