The Korean Civic Education Institute for Democracy (KOCEI), a part of the NEC dealing with democratic civic education and training, hosted EMB officers course on the occasion of the 5th Nationwide Local Elections. The programme had held from May 31 to June 4, 2010 and twenty delegates from two nations including a Commissioner of General Election Commission of Mongolia and a Secretary of the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan participated in the programme.

The course consists of briefings on political fund system, electronic election system, methods for guaranteeing fair election, management of voting and counting and Q&A session. The election observation programme was also provided in company with the briefing sessions. The participants commended well-organised election management skills of Korea and presented their strong impression on the 5th Nationwide Local Elections observation.
