Delegates from the Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) visited National Election Commission (NEC)
on September 17, 2009. The delegation headed by Deputy Secretary-General Somchart Jasrichai met with
Mr. Hai Ju CHO, Chief Officer of Election Management and talked about different electoral systems of the
two countries and issues related to election management. The meeting was followed by presentations
on the introduction of NEC, the Touch Screen Voting System, and the Automatic Ballot Counting and
Sorting Machine.

Mr. Jasrichai and Mr. CHO discussed ways to enhance the relations between the two commissions through
continued exchange and cooperation. The visit served as a good opportunity to reaffirm the close relationship
