Date :03/15/2013Read : 149

The NEC has appointed the student journalists since 2009. Fifteen student journalists, appointed after selection process, such as document screening and interview, will carry out their responsibilities from August this year to January next year.

The appointed student journalists will upload diverse election-related articles to the NEC’s official blog (http://nec1963.tistory.com/) and undertake various online and offline promotional activities. By doing so, they will play an important role in bridging the NEC and the people.

In particular, they are expected to deliver accurate election-related information in a timely manner, along with promotional activities to create fair and transparent election culture in the run-up to the 19th National Assembly and 18th Presidential elections next year. In addition, they will play a crucial role in enhancing the people’s interest in elections and increasing turnout rate, by providing the articles with regard to entrusted elections and overseas voting,

In order to help student journalists to create quality contents and improve their understanding of election procedures in general, the NEC will provide them with the workshop in early August.
