NEC Commissions Celebrity Supporters to Help Create a Beautiful Election Culture

The National Election Commission (NEC) of the Republic of Korea commissioned actor Lee Chae-eun, musical star Shin Geum-suk, as well as Yeo Sin-woo and Yoon I-na as supporters to help create a beautiful election culture during a ceremony on September 17.

 

Actor Lee Chae-eun starred in numerous films such as the movie Veteran, the drama Dr. Romantic and the web drama Ogusil as well as playing the main role 7th local election web drama Going to Meet You Now in which she portrayed the role of early election polling station staff and conveyed the importance of each single ballot to voters. 

 

Musical star Shin Geum-suk, Yeo Sin-woo and Yoon I-na are talented actors who are recognized for their performances in musicals and in theatre productions. They appeared in the musical Elections for the Head of Local Governments marking the 7th voters day and conveyed the Election Story in Our Neighborhood in a fun and friendly way. 

 

Kim Dai-nyeon, Secretary General of the NEC, said that "we hope that the talents of our supporters will be able to help to create a beautiful election culture of participation and harmony by coordinating the diverse nationwide public relations activities of our commission." 

 

The NEC has been selecting and commissioning specialists and artists from all walks of life as supporters to help create a beautiful election culture since 2015. Currently, singer Ulala Session, dance team Zeroback and violinist Yuesta are participating in the PR activities of the NEC.​
