Estimated registration results for overseas voters for 18th presidential election

❍  Registration Period : for 91 days

❍ the total number of registered overseas voters : 223,557 persons (10.01%)

※ As of 10/21/2012, Percentage of estimated overseas voters(about 2.23millions)

※ In the process of checking applications sent by email, NEC estimates about 220,000 voters, which is 10 percent of estimated overseas voters, after a final registration result come out in this afternoon.

Registration Results(as of 10/12/2012)

❍ the number of registered overseas absentees 176,794(80.3%), the number of registered overseas voters 43,248(19.7%)

❍ The status in major overseas embassies : Embassy of Japan in Korea(13,519명), Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in New York(10,992명), Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Los Angeles(10,196명)

 

❍ the number of registered voters in three major countries : the United States(51,454명), Japan(37,126명), China(35,630명)
